Buildings, campuses and sites that are the exhibition
Culture Landmarks
Some places are the exhibition: a gold-leaf tower in an old distillery, a refectory with a wall by Leonardo, a digital room with no floor plan at all.
This section collects the buildings that outshine their contents and the formats that have no contents in the usual sense: cultural campuses built out of industrial ruins, palaces that still function as public space, and immersive digital sites where the work only exists while you are standing in it.
They tend to need booking in a way museums do not. Timed entry, small capacity and, in one famous case, fifteen minutes in front of a wall that is already fading.
