Fuji Rock Festival
A ski resort in the mountains, seven stages along a forest path and famously clean ground
Held at the Naeba ski resort since 1999, with stages strung along a mountain path so that walking between them is a hike through forest. It rains most years, everyone brings proper boots, and the site is famous for being spotless because the audience takes its rubbish home.
The Field of Heaven and the boardwalk stages at the far end are the reason regulars come back; the walk out there takes forty minutes and is part of the festival.
