Charles Jencks' Landform, a stepped grass spiral with three crescent pools
Two former schools on either side of Belford Road hold the Scottish national collection of modern and contemporary art: Modern One has the twentieth century including a strong surrealist group, Modern Two holds the Paolozzi studio recreation and the temporary exhibitions.
Between them and the road is Charles Jencks' Landform, a spiral of grass terraces around crescent-shaped pools that is both a sculpture and a place where the city eats its lunch.
